Obviously we cannot have complete control over our circumstances or the events that happen in our lives. Believing so will inevitably bring frustration and disappointment. What you do have complete control over is your attitude. Your attitude is, for a fact, the most powerful force in altering your perception of yourself and your life.
There have been many instances where I have desperately wanted a situation to go my way (nine times out of ten without actually taking the initiative to make that outcome a possibility). This habit does not necessarily come from a fear of things not “going well,” but rather my inability to believe that things actually can and will work out in my favor. By simply having faith and taking full advantage of opportunities as they arise, I have found more peace and joy in my circumstances. I simply relax and let God do His thing.
Whether you’re a believer of God or the universe, you have to choose to let whatever Higher Power take full control of your life. Surrender from the mental tug-of-war with God and have faith that He will align your steps. Have faith that the universe recognizes what you want and will allow you to achieve that. With that being said, it is still up to you to stay close with God/ maintain a balanced and peaceful energy so that you may follow your path. I believe that it is never solely up to you or that Higher Power to “fix your life.” There has to be a balance.
You must also be very aware and picky when it comes to what and whom is or isn’t for you. Stop forcing things and just be. If whatever you worry about is for you, then be patient and have faith, and it will come to you.
